Riverview Holiday Apartments (Formerly Kalbarri Beach Resort)

Stayed here back in the 90's when it was Kalbarri Beach Resort. Very dated. Should probably be knocked down as it's quite run down. Photos are very different to what you see when you get here. Cracks in concrete on the balcony with scaffolding pipes holding "things together". Very noisy so if you're looking for quiet, I wouldn't stay here and there's no management on site. Room was musty and shower fan hadn't been cleaned since the 90's and didn't work. Positives - facility is close to town centre and walking distance to everything you need.

Photos are different to the rooms. Bearing in mind most of Kalbarri is ageing so expected an older apartment but it was vastly different to pics. Once you air it out a bit and settle in its a great spot. Close to most things. Balcony was welcomed as sitting out with a wine at night was great. Rooms clean and had fans. Living are had aircon. Could hear through the walls and lots of general bangs and creeks at night but the kids slept through so that's the main thing. Would recommend it, but expectations need to be managed. Would like to go again in warmer months to experience the whole facility as was a bit too cold for kids to be out and about.

Kalbarri Holiday Resort (Riverview Holiday Apartments) is a DISGUSTING place to stay. Would not stay if you value your life and health. These are the issues we faced. Balcony unsafe with concrete cracks on the balcony floor. Railing loose and bits of brick missing from rail support structure. Stairwell platform in front of unit crumbling and cracks throughout platform floor. Open sewers with rusty and decrepit grate!! Major accident waiting to occur. Mould growing on vent in bathroom. Security screen doesn't lock. Fridge broken. Rag stuck in ceiling to hide electrical work. Cloths horse rusty presented to us. After all that lost $149 of a bond for nothing! + Refunded us one dollar ($1.00)!! + Unbelievable. View the photos it will shock you! Was on an anf trip there's was a form stating there's a spar a pool nothing stating change of name of business. The apartment we stayed one of the lounges were broken, fridge draws were cracked, under the lounges and beds was dirty. I have allergies to dust mites I was sneezing. And they reuse the blankets. No reception to welcome guests. ice creamery was shut for sale, pool was quite dirty

Absolutely dispointed ! The place is not only dated, also lack of basic items such as sampoo and bath soup. The website says is a 4 stars hotel and paid over $500 for the night, total unexpected. We couldn't even go to purchase these items since shops are closed at 6pm, long before my shower time shocking discovery . Very unhappy traveller!

Really nice, well priced, remotely managed apartments with a great family atmosphere and walking distance to everything you need. It will be nice to see the games room refurbished, and I hope the on site eateries and bar will once again be back in business. It's a shame those are now closed as they look like they would have been great in their day. Grounds and pool are nice too. We enjoyed our stay.
